Next Level Armory is happy to help facilitate firearms transfers between other FFL dealers, as well as private parties, in accordance with North Carolina laws.
Unlike some other local retailers, we don’t believe in charging outrageous and punishing amounts for transfers simply because we couldn’t get what you needed, or you might have found a better deal elsewhere.
However, if you have your eye on a new firearm and are thinking of ordering online and hiving it transferred to you, please check with us first. We deal directly with major distributors and have access to thousands of guns from most manufacturers. Once purchased from us, we can usually have your firearm(s) ready for pickup within 2-3 business days (if we don’t already have it in-store). While we can’t always match the big online gun dealers dollar-for-dollar, our prices are usually very competitive when you consider there are NO SHIPPING OR TRANSFER FEES when you order from us through our online shop (just place your order by stopping-in), and we can sometimes work with you on price.
But more importantly, it’s good to buy from us because we stand behind everything we sell. If there’s ever a problem with a firearm or piece of gear purchased from us, we’ll help make it right.
Transferring a Firearm to Us (Receiving Your Gun)
Fees: Just $20. If you are transferring multiple firearms at the same time, the charge is $15 for the second, and $10 for each after that (must all be picked up at same time).
Procedure: Reach out to us (via phone, email or Facebook Messenger) and let us know that you’ll be having a firearm shipped to us. Our street address can be found on the Home page or Contact page. Our FFL paperwork is already on record with many major online retailers, but if your seller does require a copy, please provide us with their email address and we will send it to them (we do not provide our FFL documents to non-FFL entities). Please ensure your firearm is being shipped via UPS or FedEx. Firearms shipped to us via USPS will NOT BE ACCEPTED. Final note: Just because your tracking information shows your package has been delivered to us, that doesn’t mean that it is ready for pickup. Once your firearm has been properly processed and logged, we will contact you to let you know it is ready to be picked up – usually within 24-48 hours.
Long Guns: You’ll need valid government issued ID, and either a valid NC Concealed Carry Permit, or pass the federal NICS background check.
Hand Guns: You’ll need valid government issued ID, and either a valid NC Concealed Carry Permit or valid Pistol Purchase Permit.
Transferring a Firearm to Another FFL (Shipping Your Gun)
Fees: Actual shipping cost plus $5 handling fee.
Procedure: Simply bring your packaged, ready-to-ship firearm to the shop and we’ll take care of the rest.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
